Player Code of Conduct

As a CCFA player, you have made a commitment to yourself, your teammates, your coaches, your parents, and the club. You have a responsibility to represent CCFA in a positive fashion at all times.

As a CCFA player, I will…

· Commit my best effort every day; train and play with a positive team spirit

· Take pride in being honorable, ethical, and responsible

· Respect my coach, teammates, parents, and the soccer community 

· Obey and promote the spirit and laws of the game, the team, and the club

· Arrive prepared for all team events with proper gear and mental attitude

· Remember that soccer is a game; opponents on the other team are kids, not enemies

· Respect the authority of officials and accept their decisions 

· Control my temper and never retaliate, even if I believe I have been wronged

· Only give positive encouragement to fellow teammates

· Notify the coach as soon as possible if I will be tardy or unable to attend a team event

· Notify the coach of any injuries or discomfort

· Remember that I represent CCFA on and off the field

. Further I will never…

· Allow my enthusiasm and commitment for soccer to override my responsibilities to my education

· Use profane or vulgar language

· Leave the field or a session without the permission of the coach

As a CCFA coach, you have a responsibility to be someone players can look up to and respect by upholding the club mission statement, core values, and procedures. Foster a safe environment that emphasizes enjoyment through skill development, team building, and community involvement. 

All coaches with CCFA are expected to…..

· Be an example of responsibility, dignity, patience, and positive spirit

· Be a player advocate; place the needs and development of all players as your utmost priority 

· Arrive to team events on time, prepared, and organized 

· Ensure the team, players, coaches, and parents maintain the highest standards of sportsmanship 

· Establish clear expectations and open lines of communication with players and parents

· Consult the appropriate director(s) on any issues I cannot resolve

· Promote the concept that soccer is a game; players of the other team are opponents, not  enemies

· Promptly take the appropriate steps to minimize running up the score in games we clearly dominate

· Teach my players to be humble and generous in victory and proud and courteous in defeat

· Communicate and cooperate with other coaches to provide players with the best opportunity to develop

· Commit to growing as a coach by attending club sponsored training and coaches’ education courses

Further I will never…

· Allow winning to supersede the players safety, welfare, or long-term development

· Engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct with a coach, manager, player, parent, or official

· Criticize an official openly or directly, during or after games

  As a CCFA parent, I will…

· Support CCFA, the coach, the manager, and the team

· Encourage my child’s experience and play on the field

· Teach and practice good sportsmanship and self-discipline by personally demonstrating these virtues

· Remember that soccer is a game; players and parents of the other team are opponents, not enemies

· Familiarize myself with the laws of the game 

· Respect the authority of officials and accept their decisions

· Comply with rules, policies, and procedures of the team and the club

Further I will never…

· Engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct with a coach, manager, player, parent, or official

· Be a sideline coach or official

· Interfere at any time with the duties and responsibilities of the coach or manager

· Act in any way that is detrimental to the team or CCFA.

Coast To Coast Futbol Academy has a zero tolerance for abuse in all ages, programs and club activities. It is the responsibility of every coach, volunteer, parent and player to participate in the effort to create a safe environment for all sports participants.
